Reports on recommendations from the Sandy Hook Commission that was established by the Connecticut governor following the December 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. The commission focused its work in three areas: Safe School Design and Operation; Law Enforcement, Public Safety, and Emergency Response; and Mental Health/Mental Wellness. The purpose was to make recommendations to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
